Contributor Biography

I am interested in evolutionary neuroscience at the scale of cellular and molecular biology. The grand aim is to use the elasmobranch family to study ancient and alternative neuronal and molecular pathways that may otherwise be more difficult or impossible to dissect using more traditional animal models such as rodents or zebrafish. I have a fascination with the concept of biomimetics and how nature finds a way. I contribute to open science by sharing code and delivering basic programming workshops for free within The University of Edinburgh. @TSMMarcos
