Contributor Biography

Sarah Theissen was Communications Officer at F1000 until March 2017. She has a BSc in Applied Biosciences from Cork Institute of Technology and a PhD in Endocrine Oncology from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She worked in a breast cancer research lab at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston before joining the open access publisher BioMed Central in 2014, where she worked as a Senior Journal Development Editor on a portfolio of cancer journals. All posts were written here while Sarah was an employee of F1000.
