Roberto Pérez-Torrado is a researcher specializing in industrial yeasts currently working at the Agrochemistry and Food Technology Institute (IATA-CSIC) in Valencia, Spain. For the past 10 years, he has focused on the study of wine yeast genomes and physiology. He graduated with honours from University of Valencia with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
