Contributor Biography

Currently working as Chief of Innovation Officer in BMD software, his main interests are innovation in the medical imaging creating adding value features, and also gather user requirements and transform it in solutions, following the market needs and trends. Developing innovative products and supply consultancy and services for a better healthcare delivery and improve/optimize the workflows. Data integration in health information systems, mainly targeting medical imaging data is also one interest. Author and co-author of several software and innovative in the data integration on the biomedical domain (Dicoogle, EMIF-Catalogue, Taska). Involved in MedBioinformatics working in user requirements analysis and providing software engineering guidelines. Past works has been involved in developing scalable solutions, such as software architecture of EMIF Plataform (IMI project) used around the world, including by other European initiatives. Devoted many of my time doing data mining over large scale medical repository, in distributed environments and indexing more than 30 millions of medical images.
