Contributor Biography

Dr Lisa Reimer is a senior lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, with a joint appointment in the departments of Vector Biology and Parasitology. She joined LSTM in 2013 after spending four years leading research on the transmission dynamics of malaria and lymphatic filariasis in Papua New Guinea. Her current field-based work is focused on understanding the barriers to filariasis elimination and developing tools to improve disease surveillance. Her research group at LSTM is exploring the physiology and behaviour of mosquitoes infected with filariasis or malaria.
