Contributor Biography
Katja Mayer trained as a sociologist and works at the intersection of science-technology-society. Her research focuses primarily on the interactions of social scientific method and its publics. She is currently looking at open data practices and how they transform social research. Peter Kraker is a postdoctoral researcher in the Social Computing group at Know-Center and the founder of Open Knowledge Maps. His main research interests are scholarly communication on the web, open science, and altmetrics. Peter and Katja are open science advocates with Open Knowledge Austria and the Open Access Network Austria.
