Contributor Biography

Iain is Head of Data Publishing at Springer Nature, which involves developing new areas of open research publishing (in particular, data), and working to improve research data policies and features across Springer Nature journals. He is also publisher of Scientific Data. Previously, at Springer Nature, he launched and was publisher of Palgrave Communications and was responsible for Palgrave's open access books programme. Before joining the company he was Outreach Director at Faculty of 1000 (F1000). Before that he spent 7 years at BioMed Central as an Editor and then Publisher. All posts were written while Iain was an employee at F1000.
