Contributor Biography

Gavin Jarvis qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1992 at the University of Cambridge. He subsequently worked as a pharmacologist at AstraZeneca in the team that discovered ticagrelor (Brilique®). He has held academic posts at Queen’s University Belfast and at the University of Cambridge where he continues his research on platelet pharmacology alongside teaching veterinary anatomy, human reproduction, pharmacology and statistics.
