The first ever* Twitter journal club (Monday’s NS) was a huge success. Natalie Silvey has now posted a summary of last Sunday’s chat.
She draws out five headline discussion points:
- Randomized control trials and the issue of written informed consent
- Methodology, particularly blinding
- The importance of a (misleading) headline result
- The effect of single-centre studies on impact
- Real-life clinical impact
