In addition to Philip Beales, we have another three F1000 Members who have been elected Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences:
- Andrew King, Professor of Neurophysiology in Oxford,
- Section Head Nick Morrell, Professor of Cardiopulmonary Medicine in Cambridge, and
- Giampietro Schiavo, who runs a Cancer Research UK-funded group at the London Research Institute (and is also a honorary professor at UCL, so well done again to UCL).
Congratulations to you all!
(I’ll just observe that it’s a little disappointing that fewer than a quarter of the 40 Fellows elected to the Academy are women.)
