      I am sick of the mantra about PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE FIRST!!!! It is because of PEOPLE that so many other animal species (and plants) are threatened with extinction. Is not seven billion or so humans enough on this planet? How many more PEOPLE can this people-bloated earth support? If governments globally took human population control seriously there would be far fewer “precious” people suffering from malnutrition etc. and other species would have a chance of survival. And no, I don’t have kids so I DO practice what I preach!

    2. If I wanted to court controversy I might suggest that not having children doesn’t take practicing what you preach far enough. If I wanted to court controversy, that is.

    Loads more if we made more effective use of our resources and stopped all this namby pamby “green farming” and “organic” nonsense. People are starving to death right now because we’re being so bloody “green” about everything. Most of the earth is uninhabited. Currently we’re being told that for the first time in human history more people live in cities than in rural areas. Yet < 10% of the earth is "cities". There's loads of room for lots more people, and plenty of room for innovative and intelligent use/reuse of farmland and water purification.
