Key features of article recommendations
Following on from our previous video tips on using the F1000Prime homepage and SmartSearches, we’ll first take a look at the main content: the recommendations themselves. In this video we’ll go through what makes an article recommendation, the scoring system used to rate papers, the classifications and sections assigned, and the other forms of review on F1000Prime: dissenting opinions and user comments.
Advanced searches with F1000Prime
In this video we’ll look at how users can search for Article Recommendations and other content on the F1000Prime site, and how the advanced search can be used to filter these results to specific authors, institutions and more.
Guide to MyF1000
MyF1000 is the part of the site where users can tailor F1000Prime to their preferences. In this video we’ll take a look at saving and storing searches, managing sections of interest and email alerts, and following specific Faculty Members and articles.
Setting up PubMed linkout for F1000Prime
Finally, we’ll take a look beyond Recommendations and see how F1000Prime can be used as a primary search engine for papers on PubMed, as well as creating a ‘link out’ on PubMed to allow users to filter results to just F1000Prime-recommended articles.
