It is with sadness that we note the death last month of Jan Amlie, professor at the Department of Cardiology, Oslo University Hospital, Norway and Faculty Member in the Cardiovascular Disorders Faculty of F1000Prime.

Professor Amlie joined Faculty of 1000 in 2005 and has written over 30 article recommendations for F1000Prime. Professor Amlie also co-authored a review in 2009 of “Genetic testing in specific cardiomyopathies” for F1000Prime Reports.
