Characterizing alpha helical properties of Ebola viral proteins as potential targets for inhibition of alpha-helix mediated protein-protein interactions [v3; ref status: indexed, https://f1000r.es/50u]
Sandeep Chakraborty, Basuthkar J. Rao, Bjarni Asgeirsson, Abhaya Dandekar
This article in our Ebola collection explores the alpha helices in the proteins expressed by the Ebola genome, and identified critical regions where the helices from Ebola proteins interact with host proteins. These findings may support rational drug design.
To help the fight against Ebola, we are not charging any article processing charges on articles that are part of the Ebola collection. We welcome your publications in this area, no matter how small. Publishing rapidly and making all data openly available is crucial in fighting disease outbreaks. See also the editorial by Peter Piot – discoverer of the Ebola virus.
