This week every single item in our round-up is something that YOU can participate in.
- If you’re in North America or in the Northern part of South America (check the map) you can help out the Audubon Bird Count by counting birds near you between December 14 and January 5. Find out how to join this oldest running citizen science project in the world (now in its 115th year!)
- For those of you in London, UK, the next Futurepub event has been announced for January 27. Also keep an eye on new group London Open Research (and follow them on Twitter) to stay up to date on more upcoming local events.
- From anywhere in the world, you can help Caitlin Rivers digitize Ebola data. For more Ebola open science, see the F1000Research Ebola article collection.
- Finally, if you have some time to think about academia over the holidays, you can help Mozilla ScienceLab brainstorm how to introduce open science in universities, via this etherpad document.
