PRESS RELEASE
Building on the work of the Research Synergy Foundation (RSF) in supporting global researchers to prepare their research for publication, we are delighted to announce the launch of the Research Synergy Foundation gateway on F1000Research. This dedicated publishing venue for RSF researchers and practitioners, offers an innovative open science platform for them to share their research with the world.
All research outputs on the RSF gateway are published open access and so free for anyone to read, and uses the innovative F1000Research publishing model that combines the benefits of pre-printing (providing rapid publication with no editorial bias) with mechanisms to assure quality and transparency (invited and open peer review, archiving and indexing). The gateway presents a new opportunity to showcase research in a way that will maximise its use and uptake by others.
RSF researchers are invited to publish original research, including review articles, analytical reports and case studies, as well as novel slides, posters and documents and publishes across all research fields, include Social Science, Economics, Business management, Humanities, Engineering, and Medical Studies. Authors will be asked to ensure that their research data is available in a suitable repository and suggest appropriate peer reviewers for their article. The article will then undergo basic editorial checks to ensure it meets F1000Research’s editorial requirements and then be published online. Once published, it will undergo F1000Research’s innovative open peer review process.
Santi Rahmawati, Founder and Global Network Director at RSF said:
“I’m thrilled to announce that our works and programs for RSF researchers and practitioners, will be complimented with our newly launched publishing gateway on F1000Research. The dedicated RSF gateway puts our researchers front and centre of the publication process by enabling authors, not editors, to decide what they wish to publish and when and offers a sustainable way to ensure rapid, open access publication of their research for all the world to see. By submitting their research to the RSF gateway, our authors will be formally recognized as part of our global research system which will bring endless opportunities in research collaboration, mutual promotion and synergy amongst researchers.”
Rebecca Lawrence, Managing Director F1000 Research Ltd said:
“The career of every scientist is dependent on their publication record, yet we know everything about the process can be challenging, from language barriers through to editorial bias. The new RSF gateway on F1000Research facilitates a radically better way for RSF researchers to communicate their research without having to overcome these hurdles first, by enabling authors, not editors, to decide what they wish to publish and when. It offers a sustainable way to ensure rapid, open access publication of their research whilst ensuring that this research is shared with the world for all to see.”
To be eligible for the submission to the RSF gateway, articles must first have undergone the RSF’s publication preparation process via their International Conference, Workshops, or coaching services.
