The INCF Neuroinformatics 2016 article series

This September the INCF’s annual congress Neuroinformatics 2016 comes to Reading, UK, so we will be hopping on the Great Western Railway from Paddington to be there. If you are attending, please swing by our exhibit to say hello and/or pick up some free stuff! If you haven’t registered yet, the early bird fee for the congress lasts until June 30th.

The INCF’s Neuroinformatics channel on F1000Research will be publishing an article series in the lead up to the event, and is now inviting contributions. A diverse array of article types are welcome, including those focussing on original research findings (big or small), study protocols, dataset/database descriptions and software tools. The channel is open to all researchers working in neuroinformatics. More details about which researchers are involved in the channel can be found here.

The deadline for making the article series is August 18th. Submissions are welcome after that date, but they might not be published in time for the congress. We encourage authors to submit earlier than the deadline where possible.

All articles will be published using F1000Research’s model of near-immediate publication, open post-publication peer review by invited experts, article versioning, and the inclusion of all associated source data and code. Articles may be submitted as documents via the submission form or in LaTeX via Overleaf, and can be published within a few days.

Articles so far published in the channel include the landmark Resource Identification Initiative, an in-depth cortical neurogenesis RNAseq dataset and a massive release of data for local field potential analysis by the Buzsáki group.

If you want to follow-up on interesting new ideas or cannot make it to Reading, check the INCF: Conferences & Workshops channel after the congress, where attendees will be able to share their poster and slides presentations.

If you have any questions please contact us at research@f1000research.com.

We hope to see you there!
