We’re headed to the Sunshine State!

The weather has decided to get warm just in time for June, and the F1000 crew is ready to enjoy some sunshine. We will be visiting Philadelphia in the Keystone State for the Special Libraries Association (SLA) meeting, as well as Boston in the Bay State, for the American Society for Microbiology conference – ASM Microbe. Then on to the Sunshine State, and more precisely Orlando, for the American Library Association’s (ALA) Annual Meeting. We are looking forward to seeing some old friends, making some new ones, and featuring F1000Workspace, our exclusive easy-to-use software that helps with writing, collaborating, reference management and manuscript preparation.
If you’re attending SLA, visit us at Booth 112. At ASM Microbe we’ll be at Booth 228, and if you’re coming to ALA, make sure to stop by Booth 908 and say hi. My colleagues and I will be thrilled to show you the newest features of F1000Workspace we’ve been working on. As always, we want to hear what you’ve been up to, and we will have lots of conference goodies up for grabs as well.

If you haven’t tried out F1000Workspace yet, here are some of its hottest features that will make it your favorite go-to tool:

  • It’s all stored in the cloud! Whether you’re at the lab, at home, or at a conference, you have access to your references from anywhere in the world.
  • Start highlighting via HTML and continue on PDF. The web browser plugin will make highlights and commenting on references a seamless experience.
  • Never miss an important citation again! F1000 Faculty recommendations and our smart learning algorithm will highlight important references for you.
  • Collaborate with anyone. Build bibliographies with your colleagues no matter where they are, and share as many lists of references as you’d like.
  • Avoid submission headaches! Submit to F1000Research with the click of a button and take advantage of the fastest, most advanced publishing platform for life scientists.

We have created a few short videos that highlight the features above. See here and here for more.

Hope to see you in June!
