Earlier this week, the 7th Conference on Open Access Scholarly Publishing (COASP) was held in Amsterdam. You can find conversations from the meeting on Twitter, under the #COASP hashtag.
- “It’s OK to be wrong in public“, and other advice for implementing an open science workflow with Software Carpentry.
- You’ve heard about Green and Gold, but what is Diamond Open Access? Find out on Techdirt.
- On September 22, the University of Amsterdam is hosting an information meeting about the preparation of a “Massive Online Open Research (MOOR)” tool for social sciences. This tool (working title “Crowd Findings”) will help crowdsource the kind of data that are currently being collected via lots of separate surveys, and will link social science researchers with citizens. The plan is also to couple the MOOR tool to a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). It’s still in the very preliminary stages, but they are welcoming input. Meeting announcement is in Dutch, but the organisers have an English website with contact info.
