Authorea released the workflow, data and working draft of an important Ebola article that was published recently in Cell. For outbreaks of infectious diseases such as Ebola it is especially critical that information is available to researchers and healthcare workers. (F1000Research has waived article processing charges on any submissions to the Ebola channel, which also offers a free portal to F1000Prime recommendations of Ebola articles.)
- In today’s issue of Science, Brian Nosek and others published an article about the Transparency and Openness Promotion Guidelines, which is designed to turn open science ideals into concrete actionable points. Nosek also co-authored a Guardian piece with Chris Chambers to explain a bit more about the article and the ideas behind it.
- EuroScientist launched a special issue all about Open Science. Lots to read in there!
- Mozilla Science Lab has opened applications for a $60,000 fellowship for researchers to support open source and data sharing within their universities.
- In London, the LIBER 2015 conference just ended, but you can still follow the tweets at #LIBER2015. The meeting included talks about open science and open access. The poster award went to Torsten Reimer of Imperial College for this introduction to ORCID:
