What was new in open science this week?
- Rumours surfaced that Google is working on “Google Science”, but there doesn’t seem to be any more evidence than a single document of unknown source.
- Notes from yesterday’s Mozilla Science call are up. The big news is that next week is the deadline to submit proposals for MozFest in London.
- rOpenSci launched their ambassadors program.
- OCSDNET is calling for applications on case studies to address open science challenges in the Global South. Opens for submissions on Monday.
- The summary of the open science advocacy #F1000talks tweetchat is now up on our blog.
- Several open science supporters have written a letter to AAAS with concerns about the policies surrounding their new open access journal.
And to close this week’s round-up, a little musical number. Lily Bui covered “The Best Things in Life are Free” on ukelele and dedicated it to open science!
