Burns and Bones: an interview with Gordon Klein

Gordon Klein, a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, is a member of the Bone & Mineral Metabolism section of F1000Prime.

In this video interview, Professor Klein tells us about his research interest of the last 30 years – the study of the effect of diseases on human bones. To this end, Professor Klein has used burns as a model to look at the pathophysiology of bone loss at the cellular and molecular level, and to develop novel therapies for bone loss related to a variety of chronic inflammatory diseases and stresses.
