The National Academy of Sciences is the foremost society of distinguished scholars in the United States, providing “independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to science and technology”.
Each year, the academy elects new members and foreign associates on the basis of their contributions to science and achievements in original research. The scientists honored with membership this year were announced at the end of April, and we are very pleased to be able to congratulate the following Heads of Faculty, Section Heads and Faculty Members of F1000Prime on being elected to this distinguished group:
