F1000 is holding its second meet-up event, which will host local scientists and members of the F1000 community in New York City. Following on from our inaugural meet-up in London, we’re looking forward to meeting junior researchers in New York to share the latest developments at F1000 and introduce them to our F1000 Specialists program. The guest list includes members of the F1000 Faculty, as well as end-users at subscribing institutes and F1000 Specialists. We’re also looking forward to meeting all local life scientists and clinicians who simply want to learn more about F1000.
This meet-up will also be a great chance for networking – a great opportunity for scientists to meet peers from the community and talk about science, medicine and publishing. We at F1000 are always looking for ways to improve our service, and we hope to hear what our guests think of us and other tools for discovering and publishing research.
We’re providing free drinks and appetizers for this event. What’s more, there will be giveaways for attendees, including free personal subscriptions to F1000Prime and a discount on article-processing charges for F1000Research.
Where: The Fat Black Pussycat; 130 W. 3rd St, New York, NY
When: 5PM – 8PM, November 21, 2013
How: Please sign up for a free ticket here (numbers are limited)
We’ll be organizing more events in the coming months. Please do look out for our upcoming meet-up in Heidelberg, Germany on 28th November. If you have an idea for an F1000 event near you, please contact us.
