There’s an app for everything, including for reading medical journals! Docwise shows you the latest articles from your favourite medical journals and the latest medical news in a magazine-like interface. They have a wide array of journals and websites included, and F1000Research is one of them.
When you sign up for the app, which is entirely free, you can select which area of medicine you’re interested in, and a number of journals will be suggested. F1000Research is one of the suggested journals.
If you already have a Docwise account and want to add F1000Research to your list of journals to follow, select “edit” and then “add” from the menu within the app, and search for us in the list of “General” journals:
Docwise currently only picks up our most recently indexed articles – the ones that have passed peer review. They have a wide array of other medical journals as well, including journals that cover medicine and biology (like we do), so it’s also useful for non-clinicians.
You can also add feeds for medical and health news in Docwise, and you can subscribe to be notified about particular topics. Within the app, you can add articles to a reading list to read offline.
For a full list of Docwise features, see their website.
Docwise is available for iPad and iPhone, but if you don’t have one of those you can still subscribe to our articles via our RSS feed, or keep up to date via regular email alerts and by following your favourite subjects within the journal.
