Upcoming talks and a meet-up

OAweekAdOpen Access Week

Open Access Week is an annual, global event, promoting open access publishing. Each year, talks or discussions about open access are planned at institutes around the world. This year, Open Access Week is from October 21 to 27, and F1000Research will be travelling to several institutes to talk about our publishing model.

If you’re based at one of the following locations, come find us and say hello!

October 21 – Swansea University

October 21 – University of Zurich

October 23 – University of Sheffield

October 23 – University of Bath

October 25 – University of Edinburgh (This event is open to anyone, so you don’t have to be at that University to attend).

To see what else is going on in Open Access Week, see their website. And to find out where else you can meet F1000 staff, see this blog post.

London F1000 meetup

In addition, if you’re in or near London, you can meet other users of F1000 products at our meet-up on Wednesday October 16. It starts at 6PM at Parcel Yard (in Kings Cross station), and you’ll need to register so we know how many people to expect. This event is part of the F1000 Specialists programme, and you can find more information about the pub night here.
