Likely referee delays

As most US Government institutions are currently closed due to the lapse in government funding (the ‘shutdown’), there may be some delays in the reviewing of papers published in F1000Research. Any reviewers employed by US Government agencies and institutes who have agreed to review articles prior to the shutdown on 1 October will not be working and may be barred from accessing their emails. We will endeavour to keep authors up-to-date with the progress of the reviews on their articles while the shutdown continues.
As the shutdown also affects the NIH National Library of Medicine, including PubMed and PubMedCentral, there will also be a delay in the appearance of the first F1000Research articles in these databases (currently undergoing processing).
We apologise for these unavoidable delays and hope that normal US Government services will be resumed shortly.
