Iain Mattaj, the Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL, Heidelberg, Germany), is a member of F1000’s International Advisory Board. In this video, Professor Mattaj talks about his research on the biology of the cell nucleus, and how he uses the F1000 services to discover the interesting and important articles that come from outside his own field.
Ary Hoffmann is a Faculty Member in the Physiological Ecology Section of F1000Prime. Here, he tells us about his research on the evolutionary aspects of climate change adaptation using different drosophila species and the speed at which species can adapt. He also works with wolbachia bacteria, looking at ways in which we can stop the transmission of viruses, such as dengue, that affect human health.
