Peter Ebeling is Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Western Hospital, Melbourne, and a member of the Bone & Mineral Metabolism section of the Diabetes & Endocrinology Faculty of F1000Prime.

While visiting us in London, Professor Ebeling gave us a brief overview of his research into bone and mineral biology and the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis. His research in this growing field has led to the creation of new treatments for this condition, as well as surprising findings regarding the role of vitamin D in diabetes and muscle strength.
