Last month, Kathleen Wets, Publisher of F1000Prime, was in Boston for the Experimental Biology (EB 2013) conference. While she was there, she visited Frederick Alt, Professor of Genetics and Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and one of the Heads of Faculty for Immunology at F1000Prime.
In this video, Professor Alt talks to us about his lab’s research into two specific areas: the development of T- and B-lymphocytes, in particular the assembly of the genes encoding their antigen receptors, and the mechanisms behind the overall stability of the genome – and how these two fields of study intersect at an important area of human disease.
