Sadly, we note the death of Dr Daniel Traber, former Faculty Member in Critical Care & Emergency Medicine, who passed away in September last year.

Dr Traber worked for over 50 years at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) as a professor and research scientist of anaesthesiology and neuroscience, and joined the Metabolic Disorders in Critical Care section of F1000 in 2009. With nearly 500 publications to his name, he was known as the foremost authority on burns and smoke inhalation injury.
