David Colman, Navjot Sodhi

Sadly, we have to mark the recent deaths of two F1000 Members.

Neuroscience Section Head David Colman died unexpectedly on 1st June, after apparently beginning to recover from an illness. He was Director of the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital of McGill University and the McGill University Health Centre. His interests were in the interactions between cell adhesion molecules, and made major contributions to the understanding of the role of myelin sheaths in the brain. He was also active in the support of younger scientists, and in science education for pre-teens.

Ecology F1000 Member Navjot Sodhi, from the National University of Singapore, died on 12th June after suffering from lymphoma. Please visit the blogs of the Raffles Museum and his colleague Corey Bradshaw for some personal tributes.

Our condolences to their family, friends and colleagues.
