In case you missed it (what do you mean, you don’t read our press releases?), we’re delighted to announce that Gary Borisy has been promoted to Head of Faculty in F1000 Cell Biology, joining Alan Hall, Randy Schekman, Steve McKnight and Tony Pawson.
Gary Borisy is currently Director and CEO at the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory. He has served as president of the American Society for Cell Biology and is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. Randy Schekman says,
“Gary Borisy is a leading figure in the study of microtubule assembly and function. He has contributed important insights on dynamic aspects of the cytoskeleton. His deep scholarship in this and other aspects of cell structure will add substantially to the F1000 program.”
I look forward to an even stronger Cell Biology Faculty now that Gary is on board. Welcome!
