Help shape the development of F1000Trials – join the advisory panel

Again, they did it again! As with their other websites, it’s obvious that the F1000 crew puts a lot of thought into making F1000Trials an easy-to-use resource with a lot of helpful features. I’m sitting here clapping my hands,” said Donatas Zailskas, a 6th year medical Lithuanian student.

But what do you think about F1000Trials? Does the service, which launched in its beta version last month, meet your needs for rapidly discovering and understanding clinical trials? We are working on additional features for the service and F1000Trials will continue to improve how medical research is discovered and connected, and improve how the quality and impact of clinical research can be assessed.

Many of our Faculty Members have helped shape F1000Trials and we believe F1000Trials will be of particular interest to practicing clinicians and clinical researchers, and also to health policy makers, health librarians, pharmacists, drug regulators, patient organizations and the pharmaceutical industry.

Considering all these different types of people can use the website, which is currently freely available to registered users, we are recruiting a user advisory panel for F1000Trials. The advisory panel will represent the interests of these different types of people who use F1000Trials, and perhaps other types of people we have not considered. Development of influential web services can often be driven by their users.

Please contact us if you would like to provide regular feedback on your experience of using F1000Trials, indicating which type of role (for example, practicing clinician) best matches your current activities. Or if you think F1000Trials would benefit another type of user we have not listed, please tell us.

Role and benefits of being a user advisory panel member:
–    Represent the interests of people in similar roles to your own
–    Test new features of the F1000Trials before other users
–    Provide and solicit feedback on F1000Trials
–    Attend occasional online meetings/conference calls
–    Complete occasional, short, online surveys
–    Help F1000Trials continue to innovate in how medical evidence is discovered and understood by a wide audience
–    Receive an F1000Trials t-shirt and bag
–    Receive continued access to F1000Trials

If you would like to provide regular feedback on your experience of using F1000Trials, please select the option (pictured) to join the advisory panel when registering on the F1000Trials website. We’ll contact applicants soon with more information about what happens next.
